About Us

Alfi Education is a platform with creative resources developed especially for pre-verbal children and children with special educational needs.

Hi, I'm Katja — the creative founder behind Alfi Education and a mum to a five-year-old non-verbal child.

Like any parent, I have high hopes, dreams, and aspirations for my child. But because he doesn’t speak, he’s sometimes underestimated by society.

So, I began creating sign-supported storybooks and social stories just for him. Over the years, they’ve become much-loved and useful resources in our family — and have even been adopted by his school.

These books help us connect and enjoy quality time together, while also introducing both parent and child to a total communication approach. Each page features key words, appropriate signs, and engaging visuals. The progress my son has made with these resources has been phenomenal.

He’s not only learned to focus and listen to stories — he’s now telling them back to us. He’s picked up the signs and found new ways to express himself. Reading these stories together is one of our favourite parts of the day.

Now, I’m sharing our most beloved stories here on this platform. I truly hope you and your child enjoy them as much as we do, and that they support your child’s learning, creativity, and communication skills.

The Dream

My dream is for every child to receive the best possible education.

I’ve often felt disheartened by the lack of fun and engaging educational resources made specifically for children with different learning styles. Instead of retrofitting existing materials, my goal is to create resources designed from the ground up for neurodiverse and disabled learners.

Because no matter your child’s learning difficulty or disability —
I believe they can.
And more importantly, I believe they deserve the opportunity to access learning and give it a try.
